Giant Crab - A Giant Crab Comes Forth - 1968 - UNI

i got nothing on these guys , but this recording is amazing.
tons of fuzz & organ & some brass !
the drum sound on this is amazing , i love it...
the vocals are really good , great harmonies .
this has sunshine & shadows.
has a real trippy narrated intro about the "giant crab that is coming forth" , its hilarious.
during the intro it mentions all the trax in a short story , as such.
no throw away trax on this , grab it while its hot !

i dunno if this is on cd yet , i ripped this from my vinyl copy @ 192 kbs.

please let me know if you enjoy this !

thanks !

Just saw the cd today. For the first time. But the price pissed me.30 USD.

As you may know Orosco is aka Ernie Joseph of "Big Brother "Fame (not Joplin's brother).

Anyways.Thanks

I loaned my Giant Crab album to a thief named Margery in 1978. I have been searching for another ever since... had to up looking back in the early 1990s. I just got tired of people telling me that It didn't exist.
Thank you for restoring a small denied chip of my life.
I tried the mp3 link and it is expired.

That blog is so interesting. I must say that at first I thought it would be a waste of time, but after reading your post was impressed with its quality. I just hope that over time you continue maintaining the same quality, and most of the same passion at the time of writing.

hey, it's great to see the love for giant crab here! good news, both their albums are out on cd now (early 2012)! there's also a movie coming out about them (the orosco brothers).
wow, the comment thread that won't die ... six years after the original post!
this album is just that great! (and i am just a fan, not with the band! i wish.)

I saw these guys many times at the Vandenberg AFB Youth Center in the 60's. They had a great show.
